we begin a site-specific work by spending time with the people that have been involved with the immediate environment to stimulate ideas and establish contact between architect and audience. we research and record the location using drawings, text, film and photography. although the work is site specific, it is ephemeral in nature. it is strategically placed in corridors, stairs, and rooms dealing with transient and stable space. control is achieved by understanding the crafts which we employ. our work is about placement as we search for the ability to organise materials in elemental ways and set up poetic relationships within the subject. |
